Fritz to Undergo Surgery for Torn Meniscus


Taylor Fritz’s Roland Garros got here to a painful finish.

The American No. 1 was wheeled off the courtroom in a wheelchair after injuring his knee whereas bowing to Germany’s Dominik Koepfer.

The dangerous information is Fritz suffered a torn meniscus that may require surgical procedure. The excellent news is Fritz is hopeful he can get well in time to play Wimbledon, which begins on June twenty eighth.

“After getting scanned there’s excellent news and dangerous information,” Fritz posted on Twitter. “Dangerous information being I tore my meniscus and wish surgical procedure. The excellent news being that of all of the knee tears this would be the quickest and best restoration.

“My restoration might be 100% and there is a good probability I might be again in time for Wimbledon.”
