Leicester transfer news: Ryan Bertrand joins Foxes on two-year deal after Southampton exit


Leicester have signed free agent Ryan Bertrand on a two-year contract.

Bertrand, 31, left Southampton after seven years with the membership in July following the expiry of his contract.

The transfer will reunite Bertrand with Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers, who was the Chelsea youth coach because the left-back got here via the membership’s academy.

Leicester left-back James Justin has been sidelined by a knee damage so Bertrand could also be set to compete with Luke Thomas for a beginning position originally of the brand new season.
