Final recreation: MTL 1  CGY  3  F

For a whole recreation recap: Canadiens @ Flames: Listless Begin

Gamers to Watch

  • Xavier Ouellet
Victor Mete was unable to deal with the function of third-pairing defenceman so Ouellet will transfer from the taxi squad to take his place. Ouellet is vulnerable to psychological errors however hopefully can fill the void quickly.
  • Phil Danault
Danault has been struggling on either side of the puck this season. He suffered a minor harm final recreation and will probably be a game-time choice for tonight’s match in Winnipeg.
  • Alexander Romanov
It was introduced that surgical procedure on Ben Chariot’s hand will preserve him out of the lineup for 6-8 weeks. That places plenty of strain on Romanov, a rookie, to fill in alongside Shea Weber till a extra everlasting answer may be discovered.

Keys to Victory

  • Get off to an excellent begin
The Habs have been dominated by the Flames within the first interval final recreation. They will’t afford to have the identical kind of begin towards a way more potent Jets lineup.
  • Be disciplined
The Jets are top-10 within the league on the power-play and can do injury if the Canadiens have a relentless parade to the penalty field.
  • Don’t go to OT
The Jets have much more talent and elite expertise than the balanced lineup of the Canadiens. They don’t want many possibilities to complete, so the Habs need to maintain enterprise in regulation time.
