Hershey Bears Signal Goaltender Billy Christopoulos To Skilled Tryout Settlement

The Hershey Bears introduced on Thursday that the crew has signed goaltender Billy Christopoulos to knowledgeable tryout settlement.  The Netminder was a member of ECHL’s All-Rookie Workforce final season.


(Hershey, PA-Mar. 18, 2021)- The Hershey Bears introduced in the present day that the membership has signed goaltender Billy Christopoulos to knowledgeable tryout settlement (PTO).

Christopoulos, 27, has performed in 11 video games this season with the ECHL’s Indy Gas, amassing a 6-4-0 report with one shutout. His 2.13 goals-against common is 2nd within the ECHL whereas his .918 save proportion is ninth within the league.

The 6’2″, 193-pound netminder began his skilled profession with Hershey’s ECHL affiliate, the South Carolina Stingrays, profitable his solely sport with the Stingrays on Nov. 17, 2019. He would be part of the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye later that month and turned in a powerful first professional season, going 23-3-3 over 29 video games with Toledo. Christopoulos signed a PTO with the AHL’s Henderson Silver Knights earlier this month, however didn’t see any sport motion. The Raleigh, North Carolina native performed on the Air Power Academy from 2015-19. The Bears introduced yesterday that goaltender Hunter Shepard had been recalled from the membership’s ECHL affiliate, the South Carolina Stingrays. The Bears now have 4 goaltenders on their energetic roster.
