WWE Corridor of Famer Kurt Angle has shared a tantalizing video on social media through which he seems to tease a return to the squared circle.
Within the video — which was shared on Twitter on Saturday morning — Kurt could be seen lacing up his boots and donning his ring gear. The 45-second video ends with a “to be continued” message.
Angle hasn’t competed within the ring since WrestleMania 35 in 2019. In what was billed as his retirement match, the Olympic gold medalist misplaced to Baron Corbin.
Following his retirement match, Kurt was given a backstage producer function with WWE.
“I’m going to assist the wrestlers with their method,” Angle defined in an interview with WrestlingInc again in 2019. “I’m going to assist them construction their matches. It’s one thing I’m superb at and I believed I’d be capable of contribute to the corporate.”
In that very same interview, Kurt made it clear that he has no intention of wrestling once more.
On April 15, 2020, Angle was launched by WWE as a part of price range cuts initiated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kurt’s video will little doubt result in hypothesis that the 52-year-old is AEW acquisition teased by Paul Wight on Wednesday’s version of Dynamite.
