Chris Jericho Says TNT Does not Need Shock Debuts On AEW Dynamite

Community Advises AEW Not To Debut Surprises On Dynamite

TNT apparently doesn’t need AEW to have shock debuts throughout their flagship weekly sequence Dynamite.

Through the newest episode of the Discuss Is Jericho podcast, Chris Jericho stated TNT didn’t need any extra shock debuts after Sting appeared this previous December on AEW Dynamite

The reasoning behind this rule is to reap the benefits of the rankings. AEW introduced the signing of Paul Wight on social media forward of his arrival on Dynamite.

“When Sting was a shock, [TNT] was like ‘don’t try this once more.’ That’s why Paul Wight was introduced on social media as a result of TNT stated, ‘We don’t need surprises, we wish to reap the benefits of the rankings.’ We had a giant shock, a giant announcement, and we used the large announcement to announce the following huge shock. I believe that’s one of many causes too, to unfold it out a bit”

All Elite Wrestling’s final main shock was Christian Cage signing a contract throughout their Revolution pay-per-view this previous February.
