Jrue Vacation, Bucks comply with four-year extension value as much as $160 million

The Milwaukee Bucks have locked up Jrue Vacation.

The guard’s agent, Jason Glushon, advised The Athletic’s Shams Charania that Vacation agreed to a four-year extension value as much as $160 million on Sunday. 

The deal ties Vacation to the Bucks via the 2024-25 season. 

The Bucks acquired Jrue Vacation from the New Orleans Pelicans in November 2020 in trade for George Hill, Eric Bledsoe, three first-round picks and two decide swaps. 

Vacation has been a stable addition to the Bucks this season, averaging 17 factors, 4.6 rebounds and 5.4 assists per sport whereas taking pictures 50.9% from the sector and 39% from deep. His defensive prowess on the wing can also be a part of the explanation why Milwaukee traded for him as he is an improve over each Hill and Bledsoe. 

The 30-year-old was set to develop into a free agent after the 2021-22 season, however his most extension means he’ll stay in Milwaukee for the lengthy haul.

The Bucks now have Vacation, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton locked up long-term. Antetokounmpo agreed to a five-year, $228 million extension with the Bucks in December, and Middleton agreed to a five-year, $178 million deal in June 2019.
