The NFL might be making a number of modifications to its schedule after deciding so as to add a seventeenth recreation. One change, although, would possibly draw some blended evaluations.
In response to Peter King of NBC Sports activities, the “Monday Night time Soccer” doubleheader that has been very fashionable on the Week 1 schedule is being eradicated in 2021 and past.
The league plans to exchange the doubleheader with a Week 18 Saturday doubleheader on Jan. 8, 2022, in keeping with King. It would characteristic two video games involving groups with playoff implications.
The one Week 1 “Monday Night time Soccer” recreation will start at 8:15 p.m. ET, which is identical for different Monday evening video games through the season. Beforehand, the doubleheader would come with a late recreation starting at 10:15 p.m. ET that includes West Coast groups.
Per King, the Week 18 schedule is predicted to incorporate the next format:
- Two Saturday video games. One within the late afternoon and the opposite in prime-time.
- 13 video games within the early and late-Sunday afternoon window.
- One “Sunday Night time Soccer” recreation to characteristic the highest flexed recreation of the weekend.
