WBA #6 gentle heavyweight Faris Chevalier (12-1, 7 KOs) triggered a significant upset in Australian boxing in March when he outscored former world gentle heavyweight title challenger Blake Capparello (who had been in traditional contests with a number of rated 175 pounders together with Sergey Kovalev, Issac Chilemba, and Andre Dirrell). Chevalier is eager to point out it was no fluke by registering victories over world-rated gentle heavyweights together with WBA champion Jean Pascal.
“I defeated Blake Caparello and now I’m rated #6 on the earth. I’ll discuss with my supervisor Peter Maniatis and my crew, but when the combat with Jean Pascal was provided to me for a world title our crew would take it,” stated Chevalier.
“Faris is a world class boxer and can make noise on the world stage. If the Jean Pascal world title combat was provided we might take it and Faris would we might be assured of successful,” stated supervisor Peter Maniatis.
