Ancajas makes weight forward of title protection vs Rodriguez

MANILA, Philippines — Filipino boxing champion Jerwin Ancajas and Mexican challenger Jonathan Rodriguez formally made weight late Friday evening (Manila time) forward of their tremendous flyweight title combat in Connecticut.

Ancajas (32-1-2, 22 KOs) tipped the scales at 114.8 kilos whereas Rodriguez (22-1, 16 KOs) got here in at precisely 115 kilos.

The 29-year-old Ancajas is defending his IBF title for the ninth time.
