White given two-season tour card

Jimmy White has been given an invitational tour card for the following two seasons on the World Snooker Tour.

Defeat meant the six-time World Championship runner-up would drop off the tour on the finish of the season.

The World Snooker Tour stated it was recognising White’s “excellent contribution to the game”.

“Jimmy is certainly one of snooker’s one-time greats, not solely when it comes to his achievements on the desk, but additionally in his large worldwide reputation,” WST chairman Barry Hearn and World Skilled Billiards and Snooker Affiliation chairman Jason Ferguson stated.

“He has performed a lot to advertise snooker via his enjoying type and charisma. He stays an excellent asset to our sport and we had no hesitation in providing him a tour card for the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons.”

White stated he was “very grateful for this chance”.
