Scuderia Ferrari has introduced that its Driver Academy programme will strengthen its collaboration with Competizioni GT with Callum Ilott set to compete within the GT World Problem Europe Endurance Cup.
The Maranello-based marque’s Competizioni GT division is an official entrant within the World Endurance Championship and helps prospects, each groups and drivers, competing in GT collection. The announcement will see the Ferrari Driver Academy work with Competizioni GT collectively, ranging from 2021.
Callum Ilott, who completed as runner-up within the FIA Formulation 2 collection final yr, would be the first FDA member to learn from the collaboration of Ferrari’s two divisions. The Cambridge-born driver will pilot a a Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020, entered by Iron Lynx within the 5 rounds of the GT World Problem Europe Endurance Cup offered by AWS.
The Englishman will share his automotive with Antonio Fuoco and Davide Rigon. The previous is a simulator specialist for the Scuderia, in addition to a driver coach for the Academy college students whereas the latter has labored as simulator driver for the Scuderia for lengthy years.
