Back strain lands Brewers All-Star Christian Yelich on 10-day IL


The Milwaukee Brewers are inserting All-Star outfielder Christian Yelich on the 10-day injured record with a again pressure, in line with Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Yelich has had recurring again soreness in latest seasons, together with all 4 of his years with the Brewers. He hasn’t performed since leaving within the second inning towards the St. Louis Cardinals on April 11. 

The 29-year-old is slashing .333/.459/.367 with one RBI on 10 hits in 9 video games. With Yelich becoming a member of Lorenzo Cain on the injured record, the Brewers will seemingly proceed to deploy an outfield of Jackie Bradley Jr., Avisail Garcia and Billy McKinney. 

Brewers supervisor Craig Counsell stated the Brewers hope Yelich will not be out long run, per Haudricourt.
